Fiat has prepared a special edition of the Topolino Sport and the Multiplina concept

The Italian brand calls the show car the heir to the Fiat 600 Multipla compact MPV, which was produced between 1956 and 1967.
The Stellantis-owned brand Fiat unveiled the revived Topolino (Italian for 'little mouse') in late spring 2023. Its 'historical ancestor' – the Fiat 500 Topolino – was built in Turin from 1936 to 1955, while the current 'little one', a technical twin of the Citroen Ami and Opel Rocks-e (both brands also owned by Stellantis), rolls off the assembly line at the automotive giant's plant in Morocco.

Now Fiat has prepared a sporty special edition for its electric quadricycle with an adorable design. As noted by the company's press office, the Topolino Sport Special Edition is aimed at a younger audience, with the developers drawing inspiration from the Nuova 500 Sport, produced in the last century between 1958 and 1960. Nevertheless, the creators were interested in the 'sporting spirit' of that car.

Among the differences of the new special edition from the standard current Fiat Topolino are four new colour options for the bodywork – white, blue, black and yellow. All of them feature contrasting stripes running beneath the windscreen – red (for white and black 'backgrounds'), white (for the blue body) and black (for the yellow), executed in a sporty style.

Additionally, the 'sportified' version of the Topolino gets matte-black alloy wheels with a silver rim, black door mirror housings, similarly coloured bezels for the round headlights (except for the white body variant, which retains light silver ones), and badges bearing the special edition's name on the front wings.

For the interior of the Fiat Topolino Sport Special Edition, black seats and a revised material for the Dolcevita Box storage compartment are provided, which is mounted on the dashboard using securing straps. A fan on a tall stalk is still included, and the special edition also comes with a new set of Monsterlino Bluetooth hi-fi stereo speakers.

For context, the overall length of the Topolino is 2,535 mm, width 1,400 mm, and height 1,530 mm. The sport version's technical specifications are evidently standard: the quadricycle is equipped with a single electric motor located on the front axle, producing 8.2 bhp. It also features a traction battery with a capacity of 5.5 kWh, offering a range of up to 75 km (WMTC cycle) without recharging. The 'little one's' top speed is limited to 45 km/h.

In Italy, the starting price of the Fiat Topolino Sport Special Edition currently stands at €10,550, equivalent to approximately 930,000 roubles at the current exchange rate. For comparison, the base price of a standard Topolino is €7,450 (around 657,000 roubles).
Furthermore, Fiat showcased a concept at a special event in Rome, named Multiplina. The company describes it as the heir to the Fiat 600 Multipla, which was produced between 1956 and 1967. It is suggested that such a compact MPV would serve as the missing link between the Topolino quadricycle and a full-fledged 'passenger car'.

The Fiat Multiplina concept features a monobox body, complex-shaped headlights, 'retro-style' alloy wheels, large side doors – for passenger access to the second row of seats in the four-seat cabin – plastic wheel arch claddings, and a fabric roof. The show car's technical specifications are likely the same as those of the 'little mouse'.
