Skoda has officially unveiled its new flagship all-electric SUV, the Peaq, built on the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform. Available in five-seat and seven-seat configurations, it is positioned as the brand's largest electric model to date. Deliveries will begin in Germany, Austria, and Slovenia starting in October this year, with a starting price of €49,900 (approximately $56,700).

The Peaq is derived from the Vision 7S concept car unveiled in 2022. It measures 4,874 mm in length, 1,867 mm in width, and 1,664 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,965 mm — 116 mm longer than the petrol-powered Kodiaq. Although slightly smaller overall than the Kia EV9, Skoda emphasizes its superior interior space utilization. The five-seat version offers a standard trunk volume of 935 liters, while the seven-seat version provides 299 liters. With the third-row seats folded, capacity expands to 890 liters, and with all seats folded, the maximum volume reaches 2,150 liters. Additionally, the vehicle features a 37-liter front trunk and 31 liters of interior storage space.

In terms of design, the Peaq adopts Skoda's latest "Modern Solid" design language, featuring a "Tech-Deck Face" front end and, for the first time in the brand's history, flush door handles, contributing to a low drag coefficient of 0.249. The vehicle is available with 19- to 21-inch wheels, while the Sportline version features a black roof, black exterior mirror caps, exclusive badges, and a sporty three-spoke steering wheel for a differentiated look.

The interior maintains a minimalist style, with a standard 10-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.6-inch vertical central touchscreen running an Android-based operating system. Below the center console, a dual-layer central tunnel integrates physical buttons, cup holders, and a Qi2-compatible (25-watt) wireless charging pad. An optional Relax package includes front seats with ventilation, heating, massage functions, and AGR ergonomic certification, "zero-gravity" leg rests, padded headrests, and fold-down tables for the second row. Higher trims also offer an optional Sonos 16-speaker audio system and a 2.12-square-meter electrochromic panoramic sunroof, which features nine individually adjustable dimming zones.

Under the hood, the Peaq offers three powertrain options: The entry-level Peaq 60 features a rear-mounted single motor (204 hp, 350 Nm) paired with a 63 kWh battery (59 kWh usable), delivering a WLTP range of 459 km and a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 8.4 seconds (five-seat) or 8.5 seconds (seven-seat). The Peaq 90 is also rear-wheel drive, with a 286 hp motor and a 91 kWh battery (86 kWh usable), offering a range of 647 km and an acceleration time of 7.1 seconds. The top-tier Peaq 90x features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system with a combined output of 300 hp, a range of 613 km, and a 0–100 km/h time of 6.7 seconds for the five-seat version and 6.8 seconds for the seven-seat version.

All versions support bidirectional charging, including V2L (vehicle-to-load), V2H (vehicle-to-home), and V2G (vehicle-to-grid), with the latter two requiring a dedicated wallbox. In terms of charging, the Peaq 60 supports a peak power of 160 kW, while the Peaq 90/90x supports 199 kW, with a 10%–80% charge time of 27 minutes and 28 minutes, respectively.

For safety, the Peaq comes standard with 10 airbags and the Travel Assist adaptive cruise control system. Skoda states that the vehicle is manufactured using over 50 kg of recycled materials. Currently, the Peaq Sportline version starts at €54,800 in the German market, with mid-range and top-tier trims priced at €62,800 and €65,300, respectively.
