Swedish electric car brand Polestar has updated its best-selling model, the Polestar 4, which was the top-selling premium electric car last year and in the first quarter of this year, with a 2027 model year update, and will begin online sales from 3pm today.

The 2027 Polestar 4 has been enhanced in terms of product appeal through ▲a name change ▲design and detail improvements ▲a restructured trim and package lineup ▲enhanced driving balance via chassis tuning ▲and a price adjustment of up to 2 million KRW.

Name change and trim structure changes

The 'Polestar 4 SUV Coupé' has been renamed the 'Polestar 4 Coupé' from the 2027 model year onwards. This more intuitively conveys the design identity that combines the space of an SUV with the silhouette of a coupé.

The trim structure has been reorganised into ▲Rear motor ▲Dual motor ▲and Dual Motor Performance. This reflects a range of lifestyles and needs, from customers who prioritise efficiency to those seeking high-performance driving.

Enhanced driving balance through chassis tuning

The Rear motor and Dual motor trims come standard with a chassis featuring ▲high-capacity passive dampers ▲new springs and anti-roll bars ▲and polyurethane (PU) rebound stops. Steering precision has also been improved to deliver agile steering response and precise control. Furthermore, the recalibrated chassis setup allows for stable performance control while offering a comfortable driving feel in everyday use. As a result, the Polestar 4 Coupé ensures a stable ride quality across various driving conditions.

Contrast-coloured emblems

The Polestar 4 Coupé has replaced the existing body-colour emblems with contrast-coloured ones to enhance the accent effect. Storm and Electron exterior colours receive a Black emblem, while Snow, Magnesium, and Space exterior colours get a Grey emblem.

Trim-specific interior differentiation

Inside, a black emblem has been newly added to the panoramic glass roof, and seatbelts and rotary knob inserts are differentiated by trim to enhance the premium feel. A Charcoal bio-attributed Micro Tech interior with Zinc-coloured décor comes as standard.

Changes to optional equipment

The Rear motor is priced the same as before at 66.9 million KRW, while the Dual motor has been reduced by 2 million KRW to 69.9 million KRW, improving accessibility to the high-performance electric coupé experience.

The Pilot Pack, which provides driving assistance features such as Pilot Assist, remains standard equipment for the 2027 model year.

The Plus Pack is priced at 6 million KRW and includes key features that enhance the Polestar 4 Coupé's appeal, such as ▲a Harman Kardon premium audio system, ▲pixel LED headlights, ▲power-adjustable reclining rear seats, ▲and a hands-free power tailgate.

The Nappa upgrade has been adjusted from 4.5 million KRW to 4 million KRW and can be selected when the Plus Pack is applied. It includes ▲Nappa leather with ventilated front seats, ▲a massage function, ▲and headrest speakers to enhance occupant comfort.

The Performance Pack, which maximises the driving performance of the Polestar 4 Coupé, is priced at 6 million KRW and comes standard with a Charcoal bio-attributed Micro Tech interior. It adds ▲22-inch Performance Pack-specific wheels, ▲4-piston Brembo brakes, ▲Polestar Engineered chassis tuning, ▲ZF 3-stage adjustable active dampers, ▲and Swedish Gold details on the seatbelts, brakes, and rotary knob.

As standalone options, ▲21-inch sports wheels are available for 2 million KRW, and ▲the electrochromic glass roof has been reduced by 500,000 KRW to 1 million KRW.

Meanwhile, the Polestar 4 Coupé delivers up to 400kW (544hp) of power, reaching 100km/h from a standstill in 3.8 seconds (Dual motor). It boasts high energy efficiency thanks to a 100kWh lithium-ion battery in a Cell-to-Pack format and supports rapid charging of up to 200kW.

Furthermore, the carbon emissions of the Polestar 4 Coupé Dual motor have been reduced by 1.1 tonnes compared to its launch year of 2024, demonstrating Polestar's brand direction of pursuing both performance and sustainability. Based on this product appeal and brand value, the Polestar 4 has won awards including the '2025 Car of the Year' and '2025 Design of the Year', as well as the EV Awards 2025 'Innovative Electric Vehicle Selected by Judges' and the '2025 Smart EV Grand Prix Performance Award'. It recorded cumulative sales of 2,611 units during 2025. Subsequently, from January to May 2026, 1,979 units were sold, strengthening its presence in the domestic electric vehicle market.
