BorgWarner secures multiple turbocharger supply contracts with major European OEMs
BorgWarner, a global leader in providing mobility solutions, has announced that it has signed multiple turbocharger supply contracts with a major European OEM for passenger car and van programmes.
These orders include both extensions of existing supply programmes and new business wins, further strengthening BorgWarner's position in the internal combustion engine vehicle sector. Production is scheduled to commence sequentially from the second quarter of 2026 to the second quarter of 2029.
Dr Volker Weng, Vice President and President and General Manager of BorgWarner's Turbo and Thermal Management Technologies division, said: "These orders are a testament to BorgWarner's strong turbocharger technology portfolio, competitive solutions, and the trust we have built with our customers over many years. As demand for highly efficient internal combustion engine solutions continues to rise across the industry, BorgWarner remains committed to providing our global customers with advanced turbocharger technology, reliable supply, and successful mass production capabilities."
The orders include a range of turbocharger solutions applicable across both petrol and diesel vehicle programmes. The portfolio comprises Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG), Twin-scroll Wastegate, and controlled two-stage turbocharging technologies, each optimised to meet specific engine and vehicle requirements, helping customers achieve their performance, fuel economy, and emissions targets.
The products covered by these orders will be manufactured at BorgWarner's production facilities in Rzeszów, Poland, and Kirchheimbolanden, Germany. This programme is also regarded as further evidence of BorgWarner's competitiveness in combining advanced engineering capabilities with robust supply chain operations to support complex, large-scale vehicle production projects.
