Renault enters the South Korean police multi-purpose patrol car market for the first time... supplying the Grand Koleos
Renault Korea (CEO Nicolas Paris) is set to expand its presence in the public sector vehicle market after being selected for the National Police Agency's multi-purpose patrol car supply project.
The Grand Koleos petrol 2.0 turbo 4WD model has been chosen as the replacement vehicle for the 2025 National Police Agency multi-purpose patrol car pilot project, with a total of 50 units to be supplied, and an additional 60 units for 2026 have also been confirmed.
Renault Korea has entered the National Police Agency's multi-purpose patrol car market, which amounts to 120 units per year, for the first time. This supply follows the National Police Agency's policy to modernise and diversify its multi-purpose patrol vehicle fleet, and the Grand Koleos was selected as the replacement vehicle for the pilot project after receiving high marks in preference surveys, thanks to its strong product competitiveness, including a wealth of convenience and safety features.
The 50 units contracted for 2025 have been fitted with police-specific equipment and, following final inspection, have been deployed to police stations across the country. Renault Korea has also secured an additional 60 units for the 2026 multi-purpose patrol car project, with delivery scheduled to be completed by December of that year.
