KGM posts operating profit of ₩30.5bn in first half of 2026….fourth consecutive year in the black
KG Mobility (www.kg-mobility.com, hereafter referred to as KGM) has announced that in the first half of the year it recorded ▲sales of 56,759 units, and on a separate financial statements basis ▲revenue of 2.3188 trillion KRW ▲operating profit of 30.5 billion KRW ▲net profit of 55.1 billion KRW. The first-half performance marks a fourth consecutive year of profitability since 2023, driven by increased export volumes through the launch of new models such as the Musso in global markets and expansion into new territories, alongside efforts to improve profitability and enhance productivity.
First-half sales totalled 56,759 units, comprising 21,806 units in the domestic market and 34,953 units for export, a 6.5% increase year-on-year. In particular, exports in June recorded KGM's highest-ever monthly performance, marking the best first-half export figure in 12 years since the first half of 2014 (41,000 units). KGM is strengthening its response to the growing global and domestic markets in order to expand sales volumes and the scale of its surplus.
In the domestic market, the company launched the new KGM New Torres in May. Additionally, it has been operating the 'KGM Total Care Package' programme and has opened '3S complex dealerships' offering one-stop services covering both vehicle sales and maintenance. On the export front, following the dealer conference in Germany in February, where the European sales subsidiary is based, the company has been expanding new model launches, including test drive events for the Actyon Hybrid and Musso EV in Germany in April, the Musso launch and test drive event in Turkey, and Musso launch and test drive events in Chile and Germany in June.
A KGM official stated, "Thanks to increased sales volumes in both domestic and export markets, we have recorded four consecutive years of profitability since 2023, laying the foundations for sustainable growth," adding, "In addition to the ongoing upward trend in exports, we will devote every effort to responding to the domestic market through the provision of convenient and differentiated services to customers and the expansion of customer touchpoints, thereby further increasing sales volumes and expanding profitability."
