Hyundai Motor will provide official protocol vehicles to the delegations of participating countries to ensure the successful hosting of the first Korea-Central Asia Summit, which will be held in Korea on 16 September.

Hyundai Motor announced on the 27th that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on vehicle support for the 2026 First Korea-Central Asia Summit with the preparatory planning team for the First Korea-Central Asia Summit at the Seo Hui Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Seoul. The event was attended by key government and Hyundai Motor officials, including Deputy Minister for Political Affairs Chung Eui-hye (who also serves as head of the preparatory planning team for the First Korea-Central Asia Summit) and Kim Dong-jo, Executive Vice President of the GPO division at Hyundai Motor.

The First Korea-Central Asia Summit is the only multilateral summit to be held in Korea this year, and it is expected to serve as a platform where the leaders of Korea and the five Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan) will come together to discuss directions for cooperation in various fields, including economy, diplomacy, and trade.

During the summit in September, Hyundai Motor plans to provide a total of 33 Genesis G90 and G80 vehicles to key foreign guests, including the leaders of the five Central Asian countries and ministerial-level officials.

Hyundai Motor has consistently provided protocol and operational vehicles for major international events at home and abroad, including the '2025 APEC Summit (Gyeongju)', the '2025 G20 Johannesburg Summit (South Africa)', and the '2024 Korea-Africa Summit (Seoul and Goyang)'. The company also plans to provide event vehicles for the delegations of participating countries at the 49th ASEAN Summit, which will be held in the Philippines in November.
