Changan готовится запустить в продажу новый кроссовер Qiyuan Q06

Changan's new SUV has a rather striking appearance, along with an impressive list of features. The model will certainly be available as an electric car, but all the technical details will be revealed later.

The Changan Qiyuan Q06 crossover first appeared in the database of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology back in April. Last week, its first public showing took place in its home country, although the manufacturer has yet to announce all the specifications. The new model will go on sale in September. In the meantime, the company continues to build interest in the model – additional photos and videos have been released. As a reminder, Qiyuan is Changan's sub-brand for electrified models, known as Nevo in export markets.

The Qiyuan Q06 crossover has a rather eye-catching design. It features muscular sides, frameless doors with semi-concealed handles, and active grille shutters at the bottom of the bumper. The lighting is in the style of the Changan Qiyuan A06 liftback, which debuted last year. The SUV also comes with an autopilot system featuring a lidar above the windscreen.

The Changan Qiyuan Q06 measures 4,837 mm in length, 1,970 mm in width, 1,670 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,940 mm. The new model is available with 19-, 20-, and 21-inch wheels.

Inside the five-seat cabin, there are separate screens for the instrument cluster and the multimedia system, a three-spoke steering wheel, and a two-tier central tunnel. Rear passengers also have their own ceiling-mounted tablet. The seats come with ventilation, heating, and massage functions. The front passenger seat additionally features a fold-out footrest, and a table is built into its backrest. A pull-out box (likely with heating and cooling functions) is hidden at the end of the tunnel.

The Changan Qiyuan Q06 is an electric vehicle (with an additional compartment under the bonnet). According to preliminary data, the crossover will be offered in several versions – with a single electric motor producing 306 or 333 hp, as well as with two electric motors, each delivering 224 hp. However, as Chinese media report, having two electric motors in the powertrain does not necessarily mean all-wheel drive: it is said that both motors are located at the rear.

A full presentation of the Changan Qiyuan Q06 may well take place before sales begin. If so, all the specifications will be revealed in the coming weeks.
