Jeland J6 crossover to get all-wheel drive version

The new modification of the SUV will feature a 150-horsepower 1.6-litre turbo engine, paired with a seven-speed robotic gearbox.
The appearance of a new 'local' brand called Jeland on the Russian car market became known in early February 2026. It is one of the joint projects between the Russian holding company 'AGR' and the Chinese firm Defetoo. The firstborn of the young brand was the Jeland J6 SUV, which was unveiled back in the spring and went on sale last month. Now the company has officially announced a modification with different technology.

This concerns the Jeland J6 AWD: under the bonnet of this crossover will be a TGDI turbo engine with direct fuel injection, with a displacement of 1.6 litres, power of 150 hp, and maximum torque of 275 Nm (available in the range from 2,000 to 3,500 rpm). The engine works in conjunction with a seven-speed preselective robot gearbox with dual 'wet' clutches.
The new modification is equipped with an all-wheel drive system featuring an electromagnetic multi-plate clutch (which automatically engages the rear axle when the front wheels lose traction) and a function to help reduce wheel spin, as well as six driving modes – Eco, Normal, Sport, Snow, Mud, and Offroad.

As noted by the brand's press service, at the start of sales the all-wheel drive version will only be offered in the Prestige trim. This Jeland J6 will come with exclusive two-tone alloy wheels, and inside, a new virtual instrument cluster with an 8.88-inch diagonal will be installed on the dashboard. Additionally, its infotainment system will be equipped with an eight-core processor.

The equipment list for the Jeland J6 AWD in Prestige specification also includes: laminated front windows, a panoramic roof with an area of 1.45 square metres, a wireless smartphone charging device (50W power), heated seats for all passengers, ventilated front seats, an eight-speaker audio system, a suite of driver assistance features, and a 540° panoramic view system with a 'transparent chassis' function.
The vehicle offers the option of fitting a tow hitch for towing a trailer. The SUV's body is galvanised, and the hidden cavities are treated with anti-corrosion materials. The winter package for the Jeland J6 AWD includes, among other things, a heated steering wheel, heated windscreen, and heated windscreen washer jets.

The company noted that production of the all-wheel drive Jeland J6 modification using full-cycle technology is organised at the plant in Shushary (St. Petersburg), which is now owned by the 'AGR' holding company. The price and launch date of the new model will be announced later. It is worth noting that the recommended retail price of the current front-wheel drive SUV, with a 1.5-litre turbo four-cylinder engine (147 hp, 210 Nm) and a 6DCT gearbox, ranges from 2,290,000 to 2,699,000 roubles.
