Spy photos of all-electric Mercedes-Benz GLA AMG reveal potential triple-motor setup with over 500 hp

Recently, overseas media have revealed spy shots of the all-electric Mercedes-Benz GLA AMG (Parameters | Inquiry). This new model is expected to be equipped with three axial flux motors, with a combined power output potentially exceeding 500 horsepower.

Most of the spy shot vehicle's body is covered with camouflage stickers, but it can still be seen that the front headlights of the all-electric Mercedes-Benz GLA AMG will feature the same star emblem design found on the latest Mercedes-Benz models, with an air intake grille design in the central area of the bumper.

Moving to the side profile, the spy shot vehicle features 21-inch black multi-spoke sport wheels, with front tire specifications of 255/35 ZR21 and rear tire specifications of 265/35 ZR21. The front braking system uses red-painted multi-piston fixed calipers, all pointing to the sporty nature of this model. The new model will adopt hidden door handles and feature black matte trim panels on the wheel arches.

Although the taillights are wrapped in camouflage stickers, it can be seen that the interior of the taillight housing adopts a new design style, also incorporating star emblem design elements to echo the front headlights. The central area of the rear bumper features a recessed license plate frame.

The interior spy shots of the new model have been revealed for the first time. It will feature the latest Mercedes-Benz family-style three-spoke steering wheel design, with a storage compartment at the bottom of the center console. The seats adopt a sporty styling design, with side bolsters on the seatbacks providing good occupant support. The center console of the spy shot vehicle is covered, but according to previous information, the new model will be equipped with a triple-screen setup spanning the dashboard and a column-mounted gear shifter design.

Regarding the powertrain, according to information released by overseas media, the all-electric Mercedes-Benz GLA AMG is expected to feature three axial flux motors, with a combined output exceeding 500 horsepower. It will also be equipped with a dedicated power battery pack with higher energy density and better charge/discharge performance to support the sporty attributes of the new model.
