Extended-Range SUV with Roof Tent to Launch; Xiaomi YU7 Adds Sponge Air Mattress, Expanding Outdoor Accessories
Recently, some netizens captured spy shots of Xiaomi's upcoming extended-range SUV (possibly named "Xiaomi Xuntian N90"), featuring a design with a retractable roof tent. The core advantage of this retractable roof tent lies in its low-profile design for daily commuting without obstruction, while fully expanding living space during camping, further enhancing the application scenarios and flexibility of the SUV.

The roof tent in the spy shots adopts a front-high, rear-low design, with multi-layer mosquito-proof and breathable fabric around it. It is expected that the mass-produced version of this roof tent will feature an electric opening and closing mechanism and be integrated with the vehicle to enable some innovative functions. This officially designed product by Xiaomi connects more closely with the vehicle, allowing status information viewing or function control through the multimedia system, and further integrating into Xiaomi's human-vehicle-home interconnected ecosystem, achieving a level of intelligence that aftermarket products can hardly surpass.

As a vehicle manufacturer with years of deep involvement in consumer electronics and home appliances, Xiaomi has gradually built a mature human-vehicle-home integrated ecosystem. Developing automotive accessories allows Xiaomi's car products to further integrate into the existing ecosystem, enhancing user experience and enabling functional innovation. Coincidentally, shortly after the spy shots of Xiaomi's extended-range SUV equipped with a roof tent surfaced, Xiaomi's car-mounted sponge inflatable mattress YU7 edition officially went on sale on June 25, priced at 899 yuan, further expanding its range of outdoor automotive accessories.

This new inflatable mattress is custom-made for the YU7, specifically optimized for the height difference formed between the rear seats and the trunk when the seats are folded down. After inflation, the main body of the mattress (excluding the inflatable columns) has a head thickness of 5cm and a tail thickness of 11cm, effectively leveling the height difference to create a flat resting space.

The mattress measures approximately 1965×1113×192mm, with a maximum load capacity of 200kg, meeting the needs of two people using it simultaneously. It features a built-in air pump design, used with the included Xiaomi car charger, achieving rapid inflation and deflation in about 30 seconds, with automatic shut-off.

In terms of material selection, the main area of the mattress uses a stretchable sponge structure for compact storage; the head and tail ends use solid sponge to stably support the head and feet, ensuring a firm and non-collapsing sleeping feel; the surface layer is made of peach skin fabric, soft and skin-friendly; the bottom layer is Oxford cloth, sturdy and wear-resistant. This mattress set comes standard with two sponge inflatable pillows, and the included pillow storage bag can serve both as a pillow storage case and as an air refill bag for the pillows. After deflation, the mattress can be easily stored in the trunk, and can be quickly packed with the dedicated storage bag.

Whether it's the custom inflatable mattress for the YU7 or the retractable roof tent integrated into the new car, Xiaomi continues to ramp up its automotive outdoor accessories. This not only aims to provide consumers with a one-stop self-driving camping solution, fulfilling their travel dreams of heading to distant places and living in the mountains, but also connects the three scenarios of home, vehicle, and outdoors, continuously expanding the scale of the human-vehicle-home full ecosystem. Leveraging its dual advantages in consumer electronics and vehicle manufacturing, Xiaomi is building an irreplicable full-scenario smart mobility ecosystem barrier.
