Bentley launches Continental GT S and GTC S... starting from £368.5 million
Bentley Motors is launching the driver-focused sports performance grand tourers, the New Continental GT S and the New Continental GTC S, in the South Korean market.
The New Continental GT and GTC S combine visual presence with a hybrid powertrain and the chassis control technology of the Continental GT Speed, forming a line-up for Bentley customers who prioritise performance. The fourth-generation Continental GT S is the fastest and most powerful Bentley ever to wear the 'S' badge, born from the same driver-centric philosophy as the limited-edition performance model, the 'Supersports'.
The New Continental GT and GTC S clearly embody Bentley's performance DNA, offering domestic customers who value comfortable long-distance driving and performance another new choice.
Performance with a top speed of 306 km/h
The New Continental GT and GTC S are equipped with a 'High Performance Hybrid' powertrain, delivering a system output of 680 PS and a maximum system torque of 94.8 kg.m. This represents an increase of 130 PS over the previous Continental GT S. When operating at maximum performance, it can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds (*3.7 seconds for the New Continental GTC S), reaching a top speed of 306 km/h (*270 km/h for the New Continental GTC S). Throughout this process, drivers can experience the pulsating feel of the latest 4.0-litre V8 engine, which adopts a cross-plane design, and the sound of the sports exhaust system.
The High Performance Hybrid system outperforms the previous generation W12 Speed powertrain in all aspects, including power, torque, and performance, and can travel up to 80 km (*based on WLTP) in pure electric mode.
To complement the powertrain, the New Continental GT and GTC S feature the 'Bentley Performance Active Chassis', which is otherwise reserved for the Continental GT Speed and Mulliner models. The Bentley Performance Active Chassis comprises an active AWD system, twin-valve dampers, torque vectoring via front-to-rear and left-to-right drive force distribution, a 48V 'Bentley Dynamic Ride' electronic anti-roll control system, and next-generation ESC control software.
Furthermore, the New Continental GT and GTC S are the first Continental GT S models ever to feature electronic all-wheel steering and an electronic limited-slip differential (eLSD). These chassis settings are part of Bentley's driver-focused system, designed to deliver the ultimate sporting feel and driving performance.
With the Bentley Performance Active Chassis, the driver can explore the driving potential across a wide range of modes and conditions. When the ESC system is fully engaged, it suppresses oversteer, while in 'Dynamic Mode', it allows a certain degree of slip at the rear wheels, enabling the driver to confidently tackle corners while maintaining vehicle stability, thereby enhancing driving enjoyment. The ESC system can also be fully deactivated, allowing the driver to experience cornering balance maintained through delicate throttle control alone.
Sporty Design
The sporty character of the New Continental GT and GTC S is evident from the first impression. The 'Blackline Specification' is applied, featuring a dark-tone front lower spoiler and a gloss black matrix grille. Black Bentley wing emblems and 'Bentley' lettering highlight the S model's identity. This is complemented by 'Beluga' black mirror caps, side sill extensions, and a rear diffuser.
The dark-tinted full LED matrix headlamps, featuring Bentley's signature design details, are shared with the Speed line-up. At the rear, dark-tinted tail lamps and specific tailpipes for the sports exhaust system are fitted. Silver 10-spoke alloy wheels are fitted as standard, with machined gloss black wheels and full gloss black wheel options also available.
The interior of the New Continental GT and GTC S also completes its visual identity through meticulous details. Fluted seats exclusive to the S model and a two-tone interior split design create a performance-focused driving environment. Soft Dinamica material is applied to key areas including the steering wheel, gear lever, seats, and door inserts.
Piano Black veneer is provided as standard, harmonising with the exterior, alongside various options including high-gloss carbon fibre veneer. Additionally, options are available to replace Dinamica with full leather throughout the interior or to change the metal trim to dark-tint chrome.
Bentley Motors Korea has completed the full line-up of the luxury grand tourer Continental GT with the addition of the New Continental GT and GTC S. Following the performance model 'Speed', inspired by motorsport heritage; the luxury-focused 'Mulliner'; the well-being-oriented 'Azure'; and the 'Core' model, which focuses on the essence of grand touring; the line-up now extends to the 'S', which pursues sporty aesthetics and the pure joy of driving. This expansion offers Korean Bentley customers an extended range of possibilities to choose a grand tourer that suits their taste and lifestyle.
From performance and design to craftsmanship, the New Continental GT and GTC S, completed with Bentley's sensibility, are handcrafted by artisans at the Bentley Dream Factory in Crewe, England. The official domestic retail price for the New Continental GT S starts from 368.5 million KRW, and the New Continental GTC S from 404.8 million KRW (both including VAT, subject to change depending on options).
