Changan announces start of sales of Deepal S07 in the Russian market, price revealed

The recommended retail price of the new crossover in Russia is 5,289,900 roubles, and it is equipped with a hybrid powertrain whose combined output is 238 hp.

The Deepal sub-brand, owned by the Chinese company Changan, officially entered the Russian market in 2026, and the second model after the G318 SUV is the Deepal S07 crossover. The brand's local office announced the newcomer at the end of June 2026, shortly afterwards revealed details about its equipment, and has now published the price of the soft-roader and announced the start of sales in Russia.

In its home market, this crossover is sold under the name Deepal S7 (as well as Shenlan S7), and its premiere in China took place back in the spring of 2023. The model is now already available in Europe, although there it is offered only with a fully electric powertrain. For Russia, however, the Deepal S07 has arrived with a hybrid setup, which includes a 1.5-litre petrol engine that is not mechanically connected to the wheels and acts as a generator for the traction battery with a capacity of 31.73 kWh.

The combined output of the system is 238 hp, with a maximum torque of 320 Nm. This hybrid crossover accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds. Fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 5.7 litres per 100 km, and with rapid charging, replenishing the battery from 30 to 80% takes 30 minutes. When driving purely on electric power, the Deepal S07 has a range of 174 km, while the total driving range (with a full fuel tank and a charged battery) is 992 km.

The exterior of the soft-roader was created at the company's European design centre in Turin (Italy) under the direction of Bertrand Bach. The model features slanting LED headlights with animation, flush door handles, two-tone 20-inch alloy wheels, frameless doors, a panoramic roof covering 1.9 square metres with an electronic sunshade, double-glazed front side windows, as well as a powered tailgate with remote-opening functionality.

The Deepal S07 is based on the modular EPA1 platform. The overall length of the crossover intended for the Russian market is 4,750 mm, its width is 1,930 mm, its height is 1,625 mm, and the wheelbase measures 2,900 mm. The drag coefficient is 0.258, ground clearance is 165 mm, boot capacity is 445 litres, and the load space can be increased to 1,385 litres with the second row of seats folded down.

The equipment list for Changan's soft-roader includes: driver and front passenger airbags, front side airbags, side curtain airbags, front and rear parking sensors, a vehicle-to-load (V2L) power export function (output – 3.3 kW), a reversing exit assist with braking function, cruise control, a traffic jam assist and lane-change assist, blind-spot monitoring, and a 540° surround-view camera system. The 'winter package' includes anti-corrosion body treatment, heated windscreen washer jets, heated exterior mirrors, heated seats for all occupants, and a heated steering wheel.

On the dashboard sits a rotating 15.6-inch Sunflower touchscreen display, while the infotainment system comes with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as gesture control functionality. The conventional instrument cluster has been replaced by an augmented-reality head-up display. The model also features a wireless smartphone charging pad with cooling function (output – 40 W) and a Sony sound system with 14 speakers.

The Deepal S07 features an interior trimmed in perforated eco-leather with contrast stitching, front seats with electric adjustment and ventilation, ambient lighting, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a central armrest with cupholders for second-row passengers, individual reading lights, and a climate control display for those same passengers.

The warranty on the Deepal S07 is 5 years or 150,000 km of mileage, and on the battery it is 8 years or 160,000 km of mileage. The recommended retail price of the new crossover on the Russian market is 5,289,900 roubles (excluding current promotions and programmes).
