Esteo V27 launches on the Russian market: pre-order start and price

The recommended retail price of the crossover from the young "local" brand is 5,750,000 roubles. Live sales will begin later.

The "Celestial" crossover with the index V27 was first shown in Dubai (UAE), with the premiere taking place in the summer of 2025. In China, the model is presented under the iCar brand (part of the Chery corporation portfolio), with the export name – iCAUR. It was initially assumed that the SUV would appear in Russia under this name as well. However, at the end of June 2026, it became known that this SUV would enter the Russian market under the new local brand Esteo, but with the same index – V27.

Let us remind you that the launch of the Esteo brand is one of the joint projects between the Russian holding company "AGR" and the Chinese company Defetoo. Very soon, the Esteo MX soft-roader will go on sale under this brand, a large SUV called the Exlantix ET8 is being prepared for a full presentation, and today, 8 July 2026, dealers in Russia have begun accepting orders for the Esteo V27 crossover.

The new crossover, intended for the Russian automotive market, features a classic five-door body, "squared-off" styling, a substantial body kit around the perimeter, angular flared wheel arches, headlights with round LED daytime running lights in a retro style, vertical two-section tail lights, 21-inch alloy wheels, and a spare wheel mounted on the side-hinged tailgate.

The overall length of the Esteo V27 is 5,045 mm, width – 1,976 mm, height – 1,894 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. The crossover's ground clearance is 220 mm, and it can tackle gradients of up to 60%. With the rear seats folded down, the boot volume is 1,800 litres, and the load area measures 2.15 x 1.05 metres (which can be used as a sleeping space on road trips).

The cabin seats five occupants, with front seats featuring heating and ventilation. The dashboard houses a pair of displays: a virtual instrument cluster with an 8.8-inch diagonal, as well as a 15-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. The Esteo V27 features a two-level glovebox, an integrated fragrance system, and a panoramic roof that can block almost all UV radiation while creating a "starry sky" effect at night.

In Russia, the Esteo V27 will be offered with the Golden REEV series hybrid system. This comprises a 1.5-litre petrol turbo engine producing 143 hp, which has no mechanical connection to the wheels and acts as a generator for the CATL traction battery with a capacity of 34.3 kWh. The all-wheel-drive crossover is driven by two electric motors (front output – 204 hp, rear – 252 hp). The combined maximum system output is 456 hp, with torque of 505 Nm.

It is worth noting that the battery is equipped with an intelligent thermal management system, allowing the hybrid to be used even in Russian winter conditions. When driving purely on electric power, the SUV's maximum range is 120 km (calculated according to the WLTP cycle), while the combined range (with a full fuel tank and fully charged battery) exceeds 800 km. The Esteo V27 takes 5.9 seconds to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h.

Production of the Esteo V27 will be established at one of the Russian plants owned by the "AGR" holding company. According to the brand's press office, the recommended retail price of the Esteo V27 is 5,750,000 roubles. A discount is available under the current government programme – a subsidy of 925,000 roubles has been provided.
