BYD Korea has announced that it will participate for the first time in the '2026 Busan Mobility Show', which will be held at BEXCO in Busan from the 26th to 5th July. Through this event, BYD Korea plans to introduce electrified products and technologies covering both passenger and commercial vehicles, and to present a new direction for the domestic eco-friendly automotive market.

BYD Korea has set up its exhibition booth under the concept of 'Power of Duality', which embodies BYD's technological philosophy that the combination of two different elements creates new possibilities and value. Alongside this, the company has unveiled the BYD SEALION 6 DM-i, a hybrid model being introduced to Korea for the first time.

BYD's proprietary DM-i (Dual Mode Intelligent) technology, applied to the BYD SEALION 6 DM-i, is an 'Electric-First Hybrid' technology where the motor takes centre stage in driving, with the engine playing a supporting role. Furthermore, as a result of integrating the know-how accumulated by BYD as both an electric vehicle manufacturer and a battery company into the hybrid system, it boasts superior fuel and energy efficiency, driving performance, an excellent charging and discharging experience, and proven safety and reliability compared to conventional plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).

Meanwhile, in line with the 'Power of Duality' concept, the BYD Korea exhibition booth has been arranged into various themed zones, allowing visitors to experience the value of 'duality' as presented by BYD — including pure electric vehicles and DM-i technology, passenger and commercial vehicles, the present and future of electrification, and the globally recognised technological prowess and the model line-up that embodies it.

Among these, the Tech Zone showcases the two core electrification technologies proposed by BYD at a glance: the DM-i platform and the e-Platform, which serves as the foundation for BYD's electric vehicles. This space features both physical structures and video content, designed to help visitors understand the operating principles and characteristics of the technologies.

In addition, visitor-participation events will be held within the exhibition hall. Visitors can receive a balloon by following BYD Korea's official SNS channels, and can also win prizes such as reusable bags and coffee vouchers through on-site participation programmes and quiz events.

An area outside the exhibition hall has been prepared where visitors can test drive key BYD vehicles. Visitors can experience the driving performance and convenience features of the vehicles BYD has introduced in Korea, and can also receive detailed information about products and services through on-site consultations.
