FLO Auto Korea to Host 2026 Ford Technical Skills Competition
FL Auto Korea Company (FLAK) has successfully concluded the '2026 Ford Skills Competition', an event designed to enhance the technical expertise of Ford technicians and improve service quality.
The Ford Skills Competition is a flagship programme where leading technicians from Ford's official service centres across the country gather to share their field experience and know-how, and to compete in demonstrating their professionalism. Through this year's eighth edition of the competition, FLAK aims to motivate on-site technical staff while maximising brand satisfaction among Ford customers by delivering precise and differentiated services.
A total of 85 veteran technicians from Ford's official dealer network took part in the 2026 Ford Skills Competition, which began in May. After a preliminary round assessing their understanding of the vehicle's advanced features and systems, only six top performers advanced to the final.
The final competition took place on the 25th at the Ford Training Centre in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. Finalists demonstrated their comprehensive maintenance capabilities by using Ford's standard technical manuals and state-of-the-art specialised equipment to accurately diagnose vehicles and swiftly resolve problems.
After a close contest, Technician Haman-do of Seonin Automobile claimed the top spot. Second place went to Technician Jo Seong-hoon of Seonin Automobile, while Technician Kim Jong-seop of the same company secured third place.
FLAK currently operates 27 official Ford and Lincoln service centres nationwide, supported by approximately 140 professional technicians, and continues to strengthen its brand competitiveness through customer service.
