Lamborghini publishes 2025 Sustainability Report… strengthening its approach to environmental, social and governance issues

Automobili Lamborghini has published its 2025 Sustainability Report. Prepared in accordance with the new European ESRS standards and the international GRI standards, this report confirms the role of sustainability as a strategic tool for responsible growth, based on long-term vision and innovation. The report provides an overview of a year of achievements across environmental, social, and governance areas, demonstrating that an integrated, cross-departmental collaborative working approach is now firmly established.

Environment: Continuous measurement across the entire value chain

In 2025, Lamborghini's sustainability strategy proved its effectiveness by delivering results in several areas. Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions from production facilities amounted to 27,122 tonnes of CO₂e, a 9% reduction compared to 2024. Indirect Scope 3 emissions also fell by 15% year-on-year. On the product side, the commercial debut of the Temerario completed the hybridisation journey according to the 'Direzione Cor Tauri' roadmap. With Lamborghini's entire line-up now consisting of high-performance hybrid models, this contributed to a 40% reduction in tailpipe CO₂ emissions compared to the 2024 average fleet baseline.

The principle of measurement and integrated management was also extended to the circularity of resources used at the plant in 2025. Currently, 77% of waste generated is recovered. This is supported by the collaboration with Cartiera, which, from 2021 to 2025, has transformed 3.18 tonnes of leather offcuts from the production process into over 36,000 items of merchandise. Water management operates under the same logic. Every litre of water reintroduced into the production process means one less litre that needs to be abstracted from the environment. In 2025, a new system for recovering condensate from the paint shop and water from the treatment plant became operational, saving approximately 8,000 cubic metres of water during its initial start-up phase.

Social: A growing corporate community

Automobili Lamborghini's value creation stems from dialogue with the people, communities, institutions, suppliers, and commercial partners who contribute to the brand's growth.

In 2025, Automobili Lamborghini continued to invest in the quality of the working environment and the growth of its employees, strengthening a model based on stability, competence, and inclusivity. The company was certified as one of the 'Best Workplaces in Italy' for the 13th consecutive year, recognising its ongoing commitment to working conditions, professional development, and employee wellbeing. In the same vein, it renewed its UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification for gender equality, inclusion, and equity. In 2025, it also began participating in the BBS Women Initiative, which supports women's access to managerial and leadership roles through dedicated scholarships.

This commitment to continuous investment in people is also reflected in the workforce composition. In 2025, Lamborghini surpassed 3,000 employees for the first time in its history, demonstrating a strengthening of skills and organisational structure. Of these, 99.7% are employed on permanent contracts, an increase of 10.6% compared to 2024.

The integration of sustainability into corporate processes is also linked to the incentive system. A portion of the variable compensation for certain groups of managers is tied to ESG targets, including decarbonisation indicators and the proportion of female managers. To complete this approach, the company also maintained a sustainable mobility incentive scheme included in the performance bonus. 10% of the total value is determined by the achievement of specific targets for reducing CO₂ emissions generated during the commute, linking individual responsibility with the company's commitment.

Efforts to foster a sustainability culture extend beyond the factory walls to the network that daily conveys the excellence of the Sant'Agata Bolognese headquarters around the world. In 2025, an online sustainability training programme for dealers was maintained, with dedicated courses for sales managers, after-sales managers, and sustainability managers. This aims to strengthen the skills of those who represent the brand in each market and accompany the product to the end customer with the same sense of responsibility that characterises the production process. As an extension of this journey, Lamborghini aims to strengthen the role of dealers in actively integrating sustainability topics in 2026.

Governance: ESG topics embedded in the decision-making system

The Sustainability Project Team, a cross-departmental collaborative organisation created to bring together skills, functions, and perspectives, plays a key role in integrating sustainability into corporate processes. This team supports the coordination of ESG initiatives, shares in their implementation, and helps spread a more shared culture of sustainability within the organisation. Through this cross-functional management system, sustainability becomes part of inter-functional dialogue, gradually transforming into criteria, processes, and projects that influence the company's operating methods and decision-making.

In an increasingly digital world where the volume and value of data grow alongside the responsibility of those who protect it, data privacy is now fully integrated into Lamborghini's sustainability scope. The Data Protection Officer at the Sant'Agata Bolognese headquarters currently participates as a permanent stakeholder in the Data Protection as Corporate Social Responsibility project (UM-DPCSR) promoted by the European Centre on Privacy & Cybersecurity at Maastricht University. This is an international forum where companies and researchers collaborate to develop guidelines for including data protection and cybersecurity in future ESG standards.

A clear direction, a continuing journey

With the 2025 Sustainability Report, Automobili Lamborghini has consolidated its working methods and strategic direction, aiming for responsible growth based on long-term vision, innovation, and sustainability. This is a journey that continues to evolve in line with the engineering excellence and spirit of innovation that have always defined the brand.
