The fastest track of the season: the URAL champion will be decided in Chelyabinsk

The final stage of the URAL regional league of the Yuka Drive Gymkhana Lite Fortis series promises to be the fastest of the entire season. On 26 July, the 'Trassa 74' motorsport complex in Chelyabinsk will once again host the series' competitors, but the organisers have already prepared a completely new track configuration for them. This is where the season champion will be decided, earning the opportunity to represent the regional league in the PRO series final of Yuka Drive Gymkhana.

It is fitting that the season will conclude where it began. In May, it was at 'Trassa 74' that the first stage of the URAL regional league took place, and three months later, the same venue will host the decisive battle for the championship title. According to the series' sporting director, competitors should not expect a repeat of the May track.

The organisers have also prepared several new elements. Among them are a double hit on the piñata and a new combination featuring a drive through the box. It is this latter element that, in the organisers' opinion, could prove to be one of the key factors in the final stage.

The most challenging aspect will be the box, which will be positioned right up against the concrete barriers. It is one thing to clip a water-filled barrier and incur penalty points. It is quite another to make a mistake near concrete. Here, the cost of an error is significantly higher.

Heading into the final, the overall standings leader is Chelyabinsk's Maxim Akhtyamov, who, behind the wheel of his Toyota Corolla V8, has won both previous stages and accumulated 544 points. Following him are two more representatives from Chelyabinsk – Nikita Belioglov (294 points) and Semyon Vasilyev (199 points). However, in gymkhana, a points advantage does not guarantee ultimate victory: a single imprecise manoeuvre can reshuffle the order of play as early as the first head-to-head run.

Regional leagues remain the primary stepping stone on the path to the PRO series, allowing drivers to take their first steps in motorsport and compete for a place at the next level. Success here, however, depends less on the technical specifications of the car and more on the driver – their precision, reaction speed, and ability to adapt quickly to new track configurations.

In addition to the sporting side of things, the organisers have prepared a programme for spectators: a drivers' parade, an autograph session, G-TAXI, interactive zones, and competitions.
