Nissan has fully unveiled the new-generation Elgrand minivan, prices revealed

On the domestic market in Japan, the new model costs at least 6,897,000 yen, which is equivalent to approximately 3.32 million roubles at the current exchange rate.

Production of the Nissan minivan began in 1997, the second-generation model arrived in 2002, and the 'third' Elgrand made its debut in 2010. It is worth noting that the van last received a major update in 2020, and even then it was clear that the minivan was due for a generational change. The marque presented the pre-production prototype of the fourth-generation Nissan Elgrand in autumn 2025, as part of the Japan Mobility Show held in Tokyo, and now the new minivan has been fully revealed.

The newcomer features a frameless radiator grille with a checkered pattern, which is visually integrated with the headlights, while the headlamps have a relatively slim shape and are connected to each other by a thin LED strip, beneath which sits an illuminated brand logo. A trapezoidal air intake with a mesh pattern is integrated into the lower section of the front bumper.

The fourth-generation Nissan Elgrand can be had in either a solid or two-tone body finish, and it also comes with distinctive 18-inch alloy wheels, standard wing mirrors with integrated indicators, and conventional door handles. The rear is adorned with a curved spoiler incorporating a brake light, as well as a full-width light bar spanning the entire tail, the light signature of which echoes the pattern of the new minivan's radiator grille.

The overall length of the 'fourth' Elgrand is 4,995 mm (20-30 mm longer than its predecessor), the width is 1,895 mm (45 mm wider), the height is 1,970 / 1,975 mm depending on the version (155-160 mm taller), and the wheelbase stands at 3,000 mm (25 mm shorter). The minimum ground clearance across all versions of the newcomer is 165 mm.

The interior of the new Nissan Elgrand is styled in the marque's current signature design language. In front of the driver sits a new two-spoke steering wheel with physical buttons and a slightly flattened rim, while the dashboard houses a display that combines both a virtual instrument cluster and the infotainment touchscreen, with each screen measuring 14.3 inches diagonally. The model is equipped with ottoman seats in the second row, a 22-speaker audio system, two sunroofs, and certain versions also come with the ProPilot 2.0 driver assistance suite.

The fourth-generation Nissan Elgrand is powered by a third-generation e-Power hybrid system and the e-4orce all-wheel-drive setup. This comprises a 1.5-litre petrol turbo engine, the ZR15DDTe, producing 140 bhp (with peak torque of 228 Nm), which works in tandem with two electric motors (the front unit delivering 205 bhp and 330 Nm, the rear 136 bhp and 195 Nm), along with a generator, inverter, reduction gear and gearbox. The minivan offers six different driving modes.

The newcomer is available in several special versions – a sporty one with a different 'front end' from Autech, another sporty but 'simpler' option called Autech Line, plus a VIP variant with features aimed at rear passengers, such as reading lamps and a separate 15.6-inch display, and the fourth option is the Step Type, which gains additional running boards.

Sales on the domestic market began today, and the prices of the newcomer are known. Purchasing the base version of the standard minivan in Japan will set you back 6,897,000 yen, which is equivalent to approximately 3.32 million roubles at the current exchange rate. A more expensive variant will cost 7,579,000 yen (around 3.64 million roubles). For the sporty Nissan Elgrand Autech modification, the asking price here is at least 8,247,800 yen (around 3.97 million roubles), while the VIP specification costs 8,698,800 yen (around 4.18 million roubles).
