Volvo opens pre-orders for flagship saloon ‘ES90’... starting from 70 million won
Volvo Car Korea (CEO: Lee Yun-mo) will begin pre-orders for its next-generation flagship electric vehicle, the ES90, from 11 June.
The ES90 is a next-generation pure electric flagship developed on Volvo Cars' latest SPA2 architecture and SDV strategy. It reinterprets the traditional saloon form for the electrification era. First unveiled globally in March last year, it attracted widespread attention, and in Korea, it was recently shown at the 'Sweden Day 2026' event, building consumer anticipation ahead of its official domestic launch.
As a flagship model representing Volvo Cars, the ES90 offers safety technology, a software-driven mobility experience, and the product qualities that embody Swedish luxury. It also provides a premium electric vehicle experience that combines a spacious and comfortable interior, a quiet driving feel, and next-generation user experience, catering to business, daily life, and family travel.
The ES90 will be available in Korea with three powertrains to suit different lifestyles and driving conditions: Single Motor Extended Range, Twin Motor, and Twin Motor Performance. Based on an innovative 800V electrical system, it can travel up to 706 km (WLTP standard) on a single charge.
In particular, the domestic starting price is set in the early-to-mid 70 million won range for the Single Motor Extended Range and the late 70 million won range for the Twin Motor. (This is based on expected eco-friendly car tax benefits and may change depending on confirmation.) Full trim levels and detailed pricing will be announced at the domestic launch on 22 July.
Meanwhile, pre-orders for the ES90 will begin on 11 June at 39 official Volvo Car showrooms nationwide, and more details about the vehicle can be found on the Volvo Car Korea official website.
