Lexus Korea announced on the 27th that it successfully concluded its customer test drive programme, 'LEXUS YOUNG FARMERS FARM TO DRIVE', on 24 July.

'LEXUS YOUNG FARMERS FARM TO DRIVE' is a programme designed to combine the driving experience of Lexus electrified models with a visit to a Young Farmers farm, allowing participants to directly experience the brand philosophy and sustainable values that Lexus pursues.

The journey comprised a single itinerary encompassing vehicle test drives, smart farm experiences, and a Farm to Table gastronomic programme, offering a new lifestyle experience proposed by Lexus.

The test drive fleet consisted of four models: the flagship SUV ▲ LX 700h, the flagship MPV ▲ LM 500h, and the plug-in hybrid SUVs ▲ RX 450h+ and ▲ NX 450h+.

Thirteen customers, recruited on a first-come, first-served basis through the CONNECT TO Naver reservation system, drove approximately 125km round trip from Lexus's cultural complex space CONNECT TO in Jamsil, Seoul, to Greentiple, the farm of Lexus Young Farmer Lee Tae-kyu, located on Daebudo Island in Gyeonggi Province. Along the way, they experienced 'Lexus Driving Signature' — Lexus's distinctive driving character — across diverse environments including urban roads and coastal routes.

At Greentiple, the farm of Lexus Young Farmer Lee Tae-kyu, participating customers toured the smart farm operating system and the farm itself, and took part in a hands-on programme harvesting basil and potatoes. Greentiple is a smart farm that practises sustainable agriculture through a renewable energy-based system that recycles waste heat from the city gas supplied to Daebudo. In addition, the farm employs a system that allows the height of hanging beds to be freely adjusted according to the working environment, enhancing the convenience of crop harvesting.

Following this, a 'Farm to Table' lunch was prepared using a variety of seasonal ingredients grown by Lexus Young Farmers, including potatoes, Korean melons, and tomatoes. Participants enjoyed menus made from locally sourced produce, experiencing the value of healthy food culture and local agriculture.

Lee Byung-jin, Vice President of Lexus Korea, stated: "This 'LEXUS YOUNG FARMERS FARM TO DRIVE' programme was designed to allow customers to directly experience the driving character of Lexus electrified models and the value of sustainable agriculture practised by Lexus Young Farmers." He added, "We will continue to introduce various programmes that allow customers to naturally experience the sustainable lifestyle Lexus pursues, and will maintain ongoing collaboration with Young Farmers."

Meanwhile, Lexus Young Farmers is Lexus Korea's flagship social contribution programme, which has been discovering and supporting young farmers who practise sustainable agriculture across the country since 2018. By collaborating with farmers who employ farming methods that minimise the use of herbicides, chemical fertilisers, and pesticides, the programme promotes coexistence with local communities and the value of a sustainable lifestyle. The agricultural produce grown by Lexus Young Farmers is used in seasonal beverages and dessert menus at CONNECT TO, and also contributes to the spread of healthy food culture through various events such as the Sik-sik Market.
